Auditor Information

Auditing Classes

Auditing is defined as studying without credit. We register several types of audits at Asbury Theological Seminary.

  • Current student auditors
  • Alumni auditors
  • Non-matriculated auditors include: staff, student spouses, alumni spouses, staff spouses, faculty spouses, and missionaries in residence
  • Community auditors include: Wilmore local clergy, individuals affiliated with our extension sites, and individuals referred by faculty

A form is required to audit courses. All audits require professor approval prior to registration. Most on-campus, hybrid and online courses are available for audit; private instruction courses are not available for audit.

Forms for current students, alumni, and non-matriculated auditors can be found on Asbury Connect or by contacting the Registrar’s Office directly by emailing registrar@asburyseminary.edu.  Professor’s signature or email approval is required. Once complete, submit the form and professor approval to the Registrar’s Office for registration.

Community auditors should reach out to admissions by email for admission into the seminary at admissions@asburyseminary.edu.

Current student and alumni audits will appear on the student’s transcript. Credit may not be received at a later date for hours taken by audit. There is a small audit fee.
